| | Consumer Corner is a vehicle to share consumer related information with Alberta’s agriculture and food industry, Agriculture and Rural Development staff, and the public. The articles in this series will include information about what consumers are buying and why they are buying it.
.
By understanding what consumers are buying and why they are buying it, the agriculture and food industry can:
- Develop more effective marketing strategies.
- Reduce the risk associated with product development and innovation.
- Proactively respond to consumers’ needs.
Successful organizations understand that consumers lead and the only way to understand where the consumer is going, is to understand the forces that drive their movement. The information found in Consumer Corner should contribute to this understanding.
