Cucumber mosaic virus
What to look for?
Cucumber mosaic virus and zucchini yellow mosaic are aphid-borne and both shows up sporadically in Alberta crops. Cucumber mosaics is generally a problem of greenhouse cucumbers. Zucchini mosaic shows up on outdoor cucumbers, zucchini and other members of the cucurbit family. Early infection causes complete crop failure. This virus is occasionally seed transmitted and can also be spread by handling or pruning these plants.
