Most accidents occur when you're in a hurry or tired. It doesn't take long to refresh yourself. You can have a bite to eat or stretch your legs for a few minutes. So slow down and take a break. In every job ask yourself, what if? Be alert. Ask Questions. Get training. The best way to avoid injury on the job is to be responsible for your own safety.
Being watchful around farm equipment, livestock and chemicals are very important. But so is letting other people know what you are doing. Taking the extra time to put tools and machinery back in their proper place can go a long way in preventing an injury. Keeping your workshop tidy will help to keep the whole family safe.
