| Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) staff will be at Agri-Trade, taking place in Red Deer from November 7 to 9, 2018.
“Throughout the trade show, specialists from the Alberta Ag-Info Centre will be available at the department‘s booth to answer questions on beef and forages, crops and farm management,” says Laura Thygesen, agri-environmental extension coordinator with AF. “Other AF areas highlighted at the booth will include Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) in Alberta, livestock and crop research, marketing and Agri-Profit$, manure management and Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA), Farm Energy and Agri-Processing Program (FEAP) and carbon offsets. The provincial veterinarians will be on hand to discuss the changes to the way that producers access antimicrobials. The Environmental Stewardship staff will also be offering hands-on demonstrations of the new ManureTracker app.”
The AF booth will be in the upper level of the Centrium Concourse - booth 103 - at the Westerner Park in Red Deer. The trade show runs over three days - Wednesday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
