Nematode -
Ditvlenchus dipsaci
What to look for?
This nematode also affects onions, chives and leeks. Garlic bulbs, onions or chives may introduce this nematode onto new cropland. Nematodes penetrate stems at the soil level and cavities are found where mature female nematodes lay their eggs. Unwashed seeds and soil can also spread this pest to new areas.
