A person who grows more than five acres of potatoes or operates a potato greenhouse or laboratory where the annual gross income, sales and transfers arising from potatoes derived from that undertaking exceeds $10,000 must obtain a licence under the Potato Growers of Alberta Marketing Regulation to operate as a potato producer.
A person may apply to the Potato Growers of Alberta for a licence to operate as potato producer.
