Agriculture in the Classroom Canada has launched the new online resource, snapAG. This series lets students to explore the hot topics affecting the agriculture industry.

These downloadable two page factsheets cover more than 40 different topics under farming basics, animal health, animal care, farming and the environment, pesticides, food, growing crops, and organics.

“Ag in the Classroom develops resources for teachers and students,” says Karen Carle, ag education consultant with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry. “In this case, snapAG is factual information that is not necessarily curricular-linked. It is bite-sized, easy to digest amounts of information, and a helpful resource that can also be used by producers, parents, and anyone interested in agriculture. Producers who are involved in Alberta Open Farm Days may want to print these PDFs and have them available for those visiting their farms and ranches in August.”
