It is vital to monitor all areas of a business to ensure that it runs efficiently on a day-to-day basis. This monitoring process is crucial when setting present and long term goals.

Is Your Growth Plan Working?

The following is a checklist to help you assess your business. Although this is not a comprehensive list, consider the following criteria as you monitor your business success and growth.

In order to grow your sales you have considered increasing sales in an existing market, developing new ideas, finding new buyers and/ or changing your product or service.
You have studied market trends and your competition and are aware of existing and potential value chains
In forming a value chain, you have built trust, common objectives and a strong business relationship with the other links in the chain
You have examined the principles of lean manufacturing and identified areas in your operation that should be eliminated in order to increase profits and increases efficiency
You have evaluated the challenges and potential benefits of implementing a lean manufacturing principle to your operation.
Congratulations! Your business has survived the start-up and early growth stages. The key to continued success is constant evaluation of your business, ongoing market research, regulatory and operational updates, employee training and recognition, and attaining and resetting your business and life goals.
