 | The ARD Bio-Based Chemicals Program team promotes and connects existing products and processes with private sector entities; aiming to align companies with interest in commercializing in Alberta. The team promotes existing expertise and capacity to establish new or novel products, connecting to private business interests. The team utilizes a market-focused business development approach to increase market access, deliver business investment activities and build capacity for Alberta bio-based chemical commercialization.
Through industry partnerships and collaborations, the team is focused on the development and commercialization of bio-based:
- Feedstocks/catalysts/enzymes
- Industrial chemicals/specialty chemicals
- Products, packaging
- Platform technologies
Scouting provincially, nationally and internationally, development officers seek out targeted companies that align with Alberta feedstocks or capacity and are interested in doing business in Alberta. Showcasing research capabilities and technology platforms in Alberta, development officers set up incoming and outgoing missions in partnership with other ministries and networks throughout Alberta. |  | |
