Stripe Rust Disease - How To Determine Incidence (*doc in progress*) | |

| 1. | Walk into the field 20-meters. Then walk a W-shaped pattern, looking at 20 plants at each of 5 locations. Each location should be at least 20-meters apart (See Figure 1). |
| 2. | Record the number of plants with stripe rust at each location. |
| 3. | Add the numbers from all five locations to get the total sum of all plants with stripe rust symptoms. For example:
- Location 1 = 5 plants with SR
- Location 2 = 12 plants with SR
- Location 3 = 8 plants with SR
- Location 4 = 7 plants with SR
- Location 5 = 15 plants with SR
