Gulfood is the world's biggest annual food and hospitality show and Alberta will be a leading a delegation of non-exhibiting companies to the show. Companies interested in exhibiting at the show can take advantage of Agriculture and Agri-food Canada’s Canadian Pavilion Program.

Canadian Food Ingredients Mission to the US-Midwest
Minneapolis, Chicago, Cleveland

AF invites you to participate in the third annual Canadian Food Ingredients Mission to the US with stops in Minneapolis, Chicago and Cleveland. The project will target Canadian/Albertan suppliers of value-added food ingredients and innovative ingredient technologies interested in selling their products in the US and will include a series of business-to-business meetings with selected US food processors in all three cities.

Agra ME
Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Doha, Qatar

Agra ME is the main annual trade show in the UAE that focuses on the livestock feed, animal health, crop and aquaculture sectors. It draws visitors from all over the Middle East and North Africa and is an excellent platform for Alberta’s forage and feed producers to showcase their products. In addition, other Alberta sectors that would benefit from attending this show are suppliers of fertilizers and soil supplements, equine products, horticulture, aquaculture and sustainable agriculture technology. Alberta Agriculture and Forestry will be leading a delegation of Alberta companies to the Agra ME trade show (Mar 5-7) and will also have an optional visit to Doha in Qatar (Mar 3-4). All the booths at the Alberta pavilion have already been allocated, but companies interested in walking the show can still apply.

VIV Asia Mission
Thailand and Vietnam

AF plans to lead a mission for AB feed additives, agri-equipment companies to exhibit at the Canadian Pavilion organized by AF, Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership and Manitoba Trade in the VIV Asia show. The delegation will have opportunity to showcase their products and technologies with companies from Southeast Asia countries. Depending on company interest, an extension to Philippines might be arranged for a dairy event jointly held by Canadian Embassy and The Dairy Confederation of the Philippines.

IFE London Trade Mission

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry is leading a mission to the International Food & Drink Event (IFE) in London from March 17-20.
This mission will include meetings with key importers and distributors, market briefing and self-guided store visits. The B2B component will be limited to 6 participants so please apply early.

AAHAR Food & Hospitality Show
New Delhi, India

AAHAR is the largest fair on Food & Hospitality Sector in India covering foods, processed foods, food processing, beverages and hospitality supplies. This show provides an ideal platform from which companies can introduce their products to the Indian market. The High Commission in India, in collaboration with Agriculture and Agri-food Canada, will have a Canadian pavilion at AAHAR and Alberta companies wishing to showcase their products at this show, can get directly in touch with the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service in New Delhi. SIAL is the only event of its scale in Canada, with more than 850 national and international exhibitors from 50 countries hosting over 15,000 buyers from Canada, the U.S., and 60 other countries. SIAL Canada is Canada’s only food show dedicated to the retail and foodservice trade and is one of North America’s most important food industry tradeshows. It is a global show and has proven to generate an excellent return on investment given the ideal location for companies to travel to and meet with various international buyers. Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia are collaborating to build a Western Canada Pavilion. Alberta companies may be eligible for Canadian Agricultural Partnership ‘Products to Market – stream B’ grant to help offset travel costs.

Alberta Agriculture and Forestry will be participating in the NAMPO agriculture and livestock show in South Africa. NAMPO is one of the largest agriculture shows in the southern hemisphere, drawing nearly 80,000 visitors. The show covers all aspects of agriculture apart from value-added food products. It offers an ideal platform for companies in sectors such as agricultural equipment and technology, fertilizers and soil supplements, sustainable agriculture technology, horticulture, aquaculture, water/irrigation technology, animal health, livestock genetics and animal feed additives/supplements, to showcase their products.
