 As the Green Certificate school representative, trainees will rely upon you to assist in their training needs. It is understandable that a teacher may feel unprepared in their agriculture technical training and may find this duty a bit more difficult. Due to the school representative's direct contact with the students in the school, it is an important communication link that Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development wishes to support. The school representative's responsibility is it to assist trainees with problem areas by communicating the needs of trainer and trainee to the regional coordinator.

The regional coordinator is prepared to assist the trainee and the trainer in locating resources. The school representative is encouraged to regularly communicate with the regional coordinator. Informing your coordinator of any problem areas or excellent training opportunities your trainees have experienced allows the Green Certificate Program to incorporate successful training ideas and resources (as well as update, change or create other training resources as the need arises).
