Where can I find financial assistance to help start my business?
There are a number of programs that may be available to help you develop your idea or product. The assistance available to you depends on the type of service or product you are developing. Most financial assistance will not cover all your costs, so you will need to invest some of your own money into the project. You will also need to develop a business plan to present your idea.

What assistance is there to help me develop my project?
There is a lot of information and many services available. The challenge is knowing where to start and sorting through all the information. You need to first evaluate your own skills and the resources you have available and then determine if there is a market for you product or service.

What can the Alberta Food Processing Centre in Leduc do for me?
The Food Processing Development Centre is a modern, fully equipped pilot plant and development laboratory facility. The Centre’s services, which include a full range of product testing and development, are designed to strengthen and expand the capability of food processors to meet the challenges of the marketplace.
