Alberta Shorthorn Association

The ALBERTA SHORTHORN ASSOCIATION has instituted an Award Certificate of $500.00 and an Award Certificate of $250.00 for 4-H members whose project animal for the current year is a minimum 50% shorthorn. The project animal must be sired by a registered Shorthorn bull, OR out of a Shorthorn dam. A 4-H member whose project animal is at least 50% Shorthorn may apply for one of these two awards. The 4-H members application will be placed in a draw for these certificates. The first 4-H members name drawn will receive a certificate worth $500.00 while the second 4-H members name drawn will receive a certificate worth $250.00. These certificates can ONLY be redeemed when presented to a present member of the Alberta Shorthorn Association. This certificate can ONLY be used towards the purchase of a Shorthorn animal from said member. The draw for these two certificates will be made at the Alberta Shorthorn Association Annual General Meeting in June. The applications must be postmarked or faxed no later than midnight May 31, and be received no later than June 7 for the year in question. The applications can be mailed or faxed to the secretary of the Alberta Shorthorn Association or to the Senior Advisor to the Alberta Junior Shorthorn Association.
