  This component of the Alberta Environmentally Sustainable Agriculture (AESA) Program monitors change in the quality of soil and water resources as affected by the agricultural sector. Monitoring is required to increase our knowledge base of the magnitude of the impact of industry practices on the environment and to monitor our progress in mitigating these effects. Monitoring efforts are carried out by government agencies and industry partners.
