Eligibility
Farm Families who have continuosly owned and actively operated the same land for a minimum of 125 years or more.

Program Details
 
 
  The Alberta Century Farm and Ranch Award is pleased to now recognize farm families that have continuously owned and actively operated the same land for 125 years or more.

Successful applicants will receive a special commemorative certificate of recognition from the Premier and Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.

Application Process:

  • Review the eligibility criteria below. If you’re unsure, please contact the Program Administrator to discuss your situation before applying.
  • If you are interested in receiving this recognition, please fill out and submit the application form.
  • Staff will review the application, and may contact you to clarify certain information.
Eligibility:
  • Your family has previously received the 100 year Alberta Century Farm and Ranch Award, which already verified your historical establishment date and other details.
  • Your family continues to own and operate the land.
  • The land has still not been cash rented or subdivided to a non-family member (as per the original 100 year award criteria).
