Each year the Alberta Barley Commission accepts applications for funding for research of interest to Alberta barley producers. Through the research program, the Commission fosters development of new and improved technologies by initiating and co-ordinating research on barley industry projects in the areas of production, processing, marketing and product development.
Annually, the Commission publishes guidance list of particular areas of interest to the Commission. This list is meant to complement the important areas that are already being addressed by the Commission and is meant solely as a guide for researchers submitting new proposals.
