Program Details

The Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) is a voluntary partnership between the Government of Canada and industry to improve Canada's industrial energy efficiency. CIPEC brings together industry associations and companies that represent more than 95 percent of all industrial energy use in Canada.

CIPEC has been helping companies cut costs and increase profits by providing several tools to improve energy efficiency such as:

CIPEC sector task forces set targets and develop action plans for improving energy efficiency in more than 25 industrial sectors. members of the Food and Beverage Task Force meet regularly to exchange ideas and learn more about how they can lower their energy costs and reduce GHG emissions.

The CIPEC Leaders network is part of the Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC), a joint industry-Government of Canada program that is sponsored by NRCan. Today, more than 1000 facilities from a wide range of industrial sectors have registered their commitment to energy-saving improvements with CIPEC.
