  The aim of this program is to foster awareness and understanding of agriculture so that future citizens will be prepared to make responsible decisions regarding the industry.

Program Activities

Resource development and distribution
The program develops and distribute resources for K to 12 educators. The program's library consists of more than 3,000 pages of lesson plans, stories, etc. plus extensive multimedia products.

Special events for teacher and students


Agriculture education resource listing
The Agricultural Education Resource Directory includes more than 350 entries annually and it is supplied to all Alberta schools each September.

Agriculture ambassador program
This is the marketing and distribution link with practising teachers. More than 1,000 Alberta schools participate in this program.
