We don’t normally associate insects with this time of year, but three insect forecast maps have just been added to Alberta Agriculture and Forestry’s (AF’s) website. To find out more, we’re speaking with Scott Meers, insect management specialist with AF, first about why these maps are posted now.

Interview with Scott Meers (3:58 minutes) (1.82 Mb)

Meers says maps for grasshopper, cabbage seedpod weevil and bertha armyworm will be available in January. You can find the maps on Alberta and Forestry’s website.

And a reminder you can listen to Call of the Land and check out coming events on your mobile device using the Call of the Land App. It’s available for free from iTunes and Google Play
