 With a renewed interest in NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement, Alberta Agriculture and Forestry, AF, wanted to understand what the potential impact could be on the retail sector in terms of grocery and food service. Jeewani Fernando, provincial consumer market analyst with AF, says in order to do that the department did an analysis of agri-food trade between Canada and the United States, with an emphasis on Alberta.
