Codes of practice exist for the care and handling of farm animals for a number of livestock, and a new one is in the works for rabbits. The National Farm Animal Care Council (NFACC), working in partnership with other provincial rabbit groups, has launched the public comment period on the draft Code of Practice for the Care and Handling of Rabbits.

Caitlynn Reesor has the details (0:47 minutes) (372 Kb)

The rabbit Code is one of five Codes of Practice being developed as part of a multi-year NFACC project. The draft Code and the public comment system can be found on the National Farm Animal Care Council website.
