On yesterday’s program we heard about the Regional Variety Trials—how they are conducted, quality control, and the number of plots. Today, Alex Fedko, regional variety trial coordinator with Alberta Agriculture, discusses the role of the Grain Advisory Committee, and how the trials are funded.

Interview with Alex Fedko (3:57 minutes) (1.80 Mb)

Regional Variety Trial information can be found in a number of places. Factsheets that can be downloaded as a .pdf are on Alberta Agriculture’s website. As well, this information is published as a hard copy in the Alberta Seed Guide, can be found on-line at www.seed.ab.ca.
