 Safety is always important on the farm, and should be when farmers are transporting equipment. Mona Bartsoff, chairman of the Joint Utility Safety Team, which is comprised of all the major distribution and transmission electrical providers in the province, wants producers to take extra precautions when it comes to power lines.

Bartsoff says it’s also important for producers to know where underground power lines are as well, and she urges them to call Alberta One Call to locate all underground power lines.
