 A very successful year of Earthbox Kids wrapped up last week with a harvest of vegetables grown over the summer. Last June three schools were given what’s called Earthboxes, to grow a variety of vegetables. Brent Andressen, an ag education coordinator with Alberta Agriculture, calls this past year “amazingly successful.”

Funding for this pilot project, comes from Growing Forward, which has provided $150,000 over three years. There is no cost to schools to participate. For more information, contact Brent Andressen at 780-427-4225.
