Interview with Gerry Ritz (0:37 minutes) (153 Kb)

Ritz says the $158 million under this program is designed to support industry-led innovation initiatives that help get new agricultural products into the marketplace and improve agricultural processes. Funding is available from now until 2013. Agriculture Canada says the program is designed to reduce the time needed for new products and practices to reach the market.
