 An agronomy field day focusing on cropping systems research in Lethbridge will be taking place on Thursday, July 12, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Meet at the “Jail Land,” located 1/2 mile south of the Lethbridge Research and Development Centre, on Range Road 21-1, and mile east.

Projects that are part of the tour include:

    • Screening of new pea and lentil cultivars, including winter types.
    • Faba bean research: fertility, pathogens and control options, and effects of herbicide residues.
    • Pulse-canola inter-cropping.
    • Two different enhanced efficiency nitrogen projects.
    • Effects of fungicide application timing on wheat.
    • Effects of fertigation on canola.
