Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF) staff will be at Agri-Trade, which takes place at the Westerner Park in Red Deer from November 8 - 11, 2017.

“Throughout the week, specialists from the Alberta Ag-Info Centre will be available at the department‘s booth to answer questions regarding beef and forages, crops, farm management and new ventures,” says Laura Thygesen, agri-environmental extension coordinator, AF. “Other areas highlighted at the booth will include crop research and business development, carbon offsets, Agricultural Operation Practices Act (AOPA), Farm Manager and Traceability in Alberta. The Farm Stewardship Centre will also have staff there to speak on energy efficiency and other environmental stewardship projects.”

What’s different this year, says Thygesen, is that the AF booth will be in a new location and the shape of it will look much different than in the past. “The booth will still be on the upper level of the Centrium Concourse (booth # 2002) but now it is closer to the main entrance at the Westerner Park.

“If you are not able to attend in person, AF’s website is always a great source of information, resources and tools for producers and agri-businesses. If you wish to talk directly with one of our specialists, call 310-FARM (3276).”
