 The Smoky Applied Research and Demonstration Association (SARDA) is facilitating workshops in three separate areas of the province to help farmers develop health and safety management plans for their operations.

The two-day workshops are designed to prepare farmers to assess farm safety risks, document them, take steps to minimize and reduce risks and will cover the following topics:

  • Management Leadership, and Organizational Commitment,
  • Hazard Identification and Assessment,
  • Hazard Control,
  • Ongoing Inspections,
  • Qualifications, Orientation and Training,
  • Emergency Response,
  • Incident Investigation, and
  • Program Administration

The workshops take place in the MD of Smoky River March 15 and April 5; the MD of Greenview March 16 and April 6; and the County of Grande Prairie March 17 and April 7.
