The Canadian Consulate in Detroit, in collaboration with The Kroger Co., has developed a “Google Tool” company profile form for Canadian private label food processors to provide a quick snapshot of their company/product.

The Consulate will share your response with the Kroger’s Global Sourcing Team as a comprehensive introduction in order to facilitate their assessment and determination of your company products. If Kroger expresses interest, The Alberta Agriculture and Forestry International Relations and Marketing Branch and the Consulate will be pleased to work with you as appropriate to pursue opportunities generated.

The Kroger Co. is one of the world's largest grocery retailers, with sales of $103 billion in the 2014 fiscal year. The company operates 2,638 grocery retail stores in 34 states under nearly two dozen banners and includes supermarkets, price-impact warehouse stores, and multi-department stores, which are similar to supercenters, but offer an expanded variety of national brand appeal and general merchandise.

Kroger currently sources the following products from Canada: grains, frozen food, prepared foods, produce, seafood and meat.

For more information on The Kroger Co visit their website.

You can access the form by clicking here.

Please note that HAACP and a GFSI-recognized scheme are baseline requirements for consideration for this project. For more information click here.
