| ||Alberta Agriculture and Forestry (AF)’s farm management group will be hosting their own booth at FarmTech 2016, which runs from January 26 to 28, 2016, at the Edmonton EXPO Centre at Northlands.
“The team will be at our booth showcasing our farm management tools, like our farm manager website,” says Abby Verstraete, farm business analyst, AF, Edmonton. “Farm manager is our home page for all business management information. It pays to plan, whether it is financial planning, marketing planning, or business planning. Investing time to examine your numbers and create a strategy for this year will pay off.”
She says the group be highlighting various tools and resources farmers can use for better business planning that will ultimately will lead to improving their bottom line. “These tools include the business planning section of our website that now has sample business plans available to look at and learn from.”
The group will have laptops at FarmTech to demo some of their most valuable tools and various fact sheets on production costs, statistics, the marketing guide and Growing Forward 2 grants.
