There's more market information out there than most of us even dreamed about. Much of it is available on the Internet through the World Wide Web. There is a fee for some information but a great deal is available at no cost. Of course, even Web information that’s free isn’t really free because a computer and Internet connection is needed.
Web site designers are getting better and better all the time. Good sites load quickly, are easy to use and easy to navigate through. Some, however, load slowly and are clumsy to find your way around because they are just plain poorly designed.
Here is a list of some of the many, many Internet Web-sites that provide market or weather information grouped in alphabetical order. There are obviously many, many more I could have listed but “surfing the Web” looking for interesting sites is not as exciting as you'd think. If a Web site has good information, I've listed it, even if it is slow to load or has design problems.

WHAT'S IT MEAN?
URL - the Web "address" of a particular web site or page. For example the URL of the Winnipeg Commodity Exchange is http://www.wce.ca. Each Web page has its own unique URL.
Cut-out - the total value, at the packer/wholesale level, of all the various cuts and products that make up a carcass of youthful beef. The cut-out is calculated by multiplying the packer/wholesale value or price of each individual cut of beef by its typical yield from a typical A-grade carcass. The combination of the price of each cut and their yields together is the beef cut-out. The yields are based on typical or standardized Canadian and US cutting specifications.
