Physarum spp.

Disease description
P. cinereum has lilac-gray globular sporangia, usually less than 1 mm in diameter, cluster and coat grass leaf blades. Later, sporangia burst, liberating brown spores. Common in all regions. Little damage done to grass.

Predisposing Factors
Prolonged periods of wet weather

Cultural Control
Brushing and mowing of grass when the tuff dries will remove sporangia.
