 Root-knot and meadow lesion nematodes

Disease description
May cause damage in warmer regions. Root-knot nematodes cause swelling and distortion of roots; meadow lesion nematodes cause discolored patches of grass which do not respond to other remedial measures. The distribution and importance of these problems are uncertain.

Predisposing Factors
Root-knot nematode damage on annual blue grass is sometimes associated with over compaction of soil and low fertility

Cultural Control
Maintain turf vigour.
