The APF consists of five chapters:

Science and Innovation Information

Science and Innovation continue to drive important advances in agri-food sciences and technology. Science and Innovation has given Canada a competitive edge by equipping the sector with new marketing opportunities,by fostering integrative relationships and public and private sector partnerships, and by maximizing research capacity. Such efforts have been categorized into:
  • Sustainable Production Systems
  • Bio-products and Bio-processes
  • Science and Innovation Programming
By adopting or adapting innovative practices and overcoming obstacles to change, the collaborative efforts of Science and Innovation continue to make the Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector the world leader in food safety, innovation and environmentally responsible production and to support its future success and prosperity.
