| | The Agricultural Development Committee (ADC), in one form or another, has been in existence since 1972 in Alberta. Authorized under Section 7 of the Government Organization Act, ADC members are nominated by MLAs and appointed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food. There are currently 71 ADC positions across Alberta.
The primary function of these committees is to provide peer reviews related to matters concerning Sustainable Resource Development agricultural dispositions, sit as individual members on AFSC Appeal and review Committees and to provide assistance to the Farmers' Advocate Office with Water Well Restoration and Replacement Program application. These committee members are acting as a peer to the rural Albertans and have experience in the matter of concern. |
