- Manage operation and adjustment of combine working in the field
- Set-up & service direct cut combine headers
- Harvest & handle high moisture grain
- Operate, service & repair grain dryers

- Evaluate grain drying operations
General Supervising
- Demonstrate use of decision making & problem solving techniques
- Demonstrate effective verbal & written communication for records, staff & public

Harvesting, Handling & Storing Forage Crops

- Determine time to cut standing forage crops
- Determine optimum moisture and length of cutting silage
- Handle hay to achieve & maintain maximum quality
Controlling Weeds & Pests
- Identify sources & obtain assistance in crop pest & disease detection & control
- Identify common problem weeds in grain crop fields
