Incorporation of the Barley Development Council

The Barley Development Council has been incorporated under Part II of the Canada Corporations Act effective June 17th, 2004 and Letters Patent bearing that date had been issued. This process took several months to complete and the Council would like to thank Jim Helm for all his efforts in getting the incorporation finished.

The incorporation of the Council has caused a few operational changes; however the mandate and objectives remain unchanged. Incorporation will allow the Council to manage money for the Canadian Barley Symposium, the Malting Quality Competition as well as money needed for administration and publishing.
