With the assistance of the research institutions and granting agencies the Barley Development Council has attempted to compile a list of current research projects along with the researchers and the institutions; which are providing additional funding for the project. The current list of projects covers the years from 2006 to 2008. The need for collaboration on project development and research funding cannot be overly stressed.
For each project, we have listed the project name, the scientists involved in the project and the agencies that have provided additional funding. Funding provided by the institutions themselves (core funding), is not specifically listed, but is assumed. We have not included complete addresses for all of the researchers, these can be found in the previous section of this report: Important Players in Barley Research. We have indicated the institution or agency that the first listed researcher is from. This information came directly from the research groups.
It is recognized that this is not a complete list. If anyone notices research projects that have been overlooked please send them to the Secretary of the BDC so that they can be included in the next report. This list will be updated every other year.
