Every two years the Barley Development Council organizes the Canadian Barley Symposium (CBS). Hosted by different research groups in Western Canada, the conference brings together researchers, industry groups, commercial business and producers to discuss the barley industry in Canada and it's future. The conference provides the Barley Development Council with a means to promote collaborative research with a focus on the priorities set by the Council.

The next Canadian Barley Symposium will be held in Alberta in 2012. Watch for updates on the Barley Development Council's website.
