Lacombe… A new partnership between Agriculture Financial Services Corporation (AFSC) and Alberta 4-H will support youth through a new scholarship and leadership training program. This new working relationship will see AFSC recognized as a ’4-H Champion’.

Brad Klak, President and Managing Director of AFSC, sees this as a great opportunity to invest in communities throughout Alberta. “Partnering with Alberta 4-H gives AFSC a great opportunity to connect with youth and to contribute in a meaningful way. By providing well-rounded support from a grassroots level, we will provide assistance that each 4-H member and leader can benefit from.”

As a 4-H Champion, AFSC will contribute:
  • a $1000 scholarship that will go to a 4-H member to assist him/her with post-secondary studies;
  • $300 to each 4-H district to support a district-wide workshop or event; and,
  • support for 4-H leader training.
“Alberta 4-H is excited to partner with an organization that is such an integral part of rural Alberta. AFSC and Alberta 4-H share a mutual desire to support rural families and a belief in the youth of this province,” said Henry Wiegman, Director of Fund Development for the 4-H Foundation of Alberta. “We are very excited about the potential of this partnership, and the enhancement and development that will come from it.”
