Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development's Position on Marketing Choice
Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD) is of the view that Alberta producers and shippers of wheat and barley products should be free to sell their grain and products to whomever they wish.
Policy Rationales for Pursuing Marketing Choice
1) The introduction of choice provides a favourable economic and business case;
2) Marketing Choice is a fundemental rights issue; and
3) Alberta farmers and industry want choice and have voted in favour of it.
