The Bio-Industrial Technology Division is made up of two branches; the Bio-Industrial Development Branch and the Bio-Industrial Technologies Branch. Between the two branches we aim to help meet the needs of Alberta's growing agricultural value-added processing industry with engineering related and industry development skills.

The Bio-Industrial Technology Branch facility is equipped with a product development laboratory, and pilot plant where our staff of engineers and technologists conduct research and development projects aimed at solving problems encountered by agricultural value-added processing.
