This publication provides historical statistics at the Alberta level from the Census of Agriculture conducted by Statistics Canada. Agricultural data from 1901 to 1991 are presented in tables and charts and are supplemented with trend analysis. Major topics include rural and urban population, farm land area, use of farm land, number of farms and farm tenure, area of major field crops, number of livestock on farms and farm capital.
