Scrapie Surveillance | |

| | Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development (ARD) implemented a Scrapie Surveillance Project in September 2007. This project complemented the national on-farm mortality component for scrapie surveillance. The table below shows samples tested for scrapie that were submitted to our four regional laboratories from on- farm mortalities in sheep and goats. In addition samples received from meat inspectors collected from condemned carcasses at provincial slaughter plants were tested for scrapie
