The Alberta HACCP Advantage (AHA!) Program provides a framework for Alberta food processors to implement an Alberta-recognized food safety (or HACCP) system. AHA! meets and exceeds the Codex Alimentarius “Recommended International Code of Practice - General Principles of Food Hygiene”. Processors who are recognized to the AHA! Program demonstrate the highest commitment to food safety.
AHA! recognized food safety systems implemented by food processors are certified by the Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB). A division of Public Works and Government Services Canada, CGSB is an independent, internationally recognized, third party auditing body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC).
