Welcome to Ag Education!

March is Canadian Agriculture Literacy Month. Learn about programs and resources to connect students with their own food story and where their food comes from. Check out our new resource for junior high students: ConnectAG.

Our vision is to foster awareness and understanding of the agriculture industry in Alberta so that students have a basic level of ag-literacy. Ag-literacy is, “the ability to apply a basic understanding of agriculture to make informed decisions.”

We work with both the ag industry and education system.

We connect teachers to ag education programs and resources that will help them integrate agriculture in the curriculum.

We provide consulting services to the ag industry, enabling industry members to:
  • understand the Alberta Education curriculum;
  • work effectively with teachers;
  • choose meaningful evaluation methods;

We can be reached at:
301, 4920 – 51 Street
Red Deer, Alberta T4N 6K8
