| | On December 20, 2011, Alberta Environment and Water (AEW) issued a notice outlining the deadline requirements for claiming historical credits. Project developers (Aggregators) that have claims for 2002-2011 vintage years must have claims finalized, projects verified and submitted to the Registry by the following deadlines. Any offset claims submitted after these dates will not be accepted by AEW unless a waiver is granted by AEW.
The following deadlines apply to all agricultural and aggregated projects.

| 2002-2010 | March 31, 2012 | December 2011
The AEW Notice was announced in the middle of Aggregators closing projects in order to meet the March 31, 2012 deadline for the 2002-2011 vintage credits.

Please check your Aggregator’s website or call your Aggregator for specific deadline information. | Developers (Aggregators) must submit verified claims on or before the dates shown, to the Registry.
Individual companies will have in-house deadlines that are well prior to the March 31, 2012 deadline. Verification can take up to 3 months.
Farmers making claims must have all supporting documentation and comply with their aggregator’s deadlines.
Aggregators, who are purchasing credits, must have sufficient time to collect supporting farmer data and submit it to verification before registering the credit to the Registry.
Aggregators, who are acting as the Farmer’s agent, must have sufficient time to register, on behalf of the Farmer, the registered offset. |
