  • Alberta's Rural Development Strategy: Current and Emerging Initiatives - A Place to Grow, Alberta’s Rural Development Strategy, focuses the provincial government’s collective efforts on ensuring rural Albertans are able to contribute to and share in Alberta’s prosperity and quality of life. This 2010 report updates how Ministries across government have incorporated elements of the strategy into their business planning process and budgets.
  • Policy and Implementation - links to the Rural Development Strategy and the 2007 and 2009 Updates which provide overviews of government projects and initiatives directed towards those living in rural Alberta.
  • Projects and Initiatives - links to key projects and initiatives for rural Alberta communities that the Ministry promotes and supports.
  • Business Vitality Initiative - reports from the four pilot communities which completed the BVI process and the evaluation of the pilot. BVI helps communities to assess their capacity to work with and support entrepreneurs, and to foster small business growth.
