The Agricultural Business Analyzer (ABA) program is an Excel document, which can be difficult to run on a Mac computer. Technology is available, however, to allow MS Office products to run on Macs. Because the issue in this case is a technical one, and options available will change rapidly over time, little will be said about specific options rather, it is noted that at the time of this writing (September 2015) solutions to this issue are known to be available, and it is expected that more options will become available over time.
.
At the time of this writing, two solutions are known to be available:
  1. “Parallels” programs can be purchased to be installed on Mac computers that will allow Excel and other MS Office products to be run.
  2. An “Office for Mac” product can be purchased. It is believed that if only Excel is needed, instead of the full Office suite, an Excel for Mac product can be bought that will allow for the use of Excel only.

Please note that the writer of this article is not an IT expert, so for technical information about the above, or other options that might be available, it is suggested an IT professional or technology supplier be consulted for more detail on these options, or others that may be possible.
